I was reading Psalm 37 today and verse 24 caught my eye:
“Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.”
How true is that. I was reminded this week that no matter how many times we fall God picks us right back up but even better than that he has a GRIP on our hand.
Think about that “grip on your hand”. This not only implies that He will pick you up but that he is holding your hand while your walking to catch you when you fall.
Also a grip implies more than just holding grip implies “holding tight”. I looked up the definition of grip just to get a clearer picture. It says grip-a firm hold, a tight clasp
Lord,
Thank you for gripping my hand on this journey. Thank you for waiting to catch me when I fall so you can pick me right back up. Thank you for holding tight. As you hold tight to me I will hold tight to you.
~Amen
